Golden zucchini is a kind of zucchini that looks like a banana and has a yellow skin. It is a new variety of American melons with yellow skin. It contains slightly more sugar than cucumber and is sweeter.
Fruit Golden Zucchini SeedsÂ
1.The appearance is smooth and straight cylinder, the color is bright yellow, excellent gloss.
2.Good and continuous fruit setting.
Here are some common ways to use golden zucchini:
Sautéed or Stir-Fried: Slice golden zucchini into thin rounds or strips and sauté them in a pan with olive oil and your choice of herbs and spices. This quick cooking method enhances their natural flavor.
Grilled: Zucchini can be sliced lengthwise and brushed with olive oil, salt, and pepper before grilling. Grilled zucchini is a popular side dish during barbecue season.
Roasted: Toss zucchini chunks with olive oil and seasonings, then roast them in the oven until they are tender and slightly caramelized. Roasting enhances the sweetness of the zucchini.
Zucchini Bread or Muffins: Grated zucchini can be incorporated into sweet recipes like zucchini bread or muffins. The zucchini adds moisture and a mild, slightly sweet flavor to the baked goods.
Salads: Raw zucchini can be sliced or shaved into salads, adding a refreshing and crunchy element. It pairs well with other fresh vegetables and vinaigrette dressing.
Tips:Golden zucchini can be used interchangeably with green zucchini in most recipes. Its slightly sweeter flavor and vibrant color can add a unique touch to your dishes.
Growing: year round in tropical climate; in temperate climates start the seeds 2-4 weeks prior the last frost date and transplant the seedlings outside when the danger of last frost is gone. Alternatively, direct seeding (recommended) at the end of May/beg of Jun when soil temp. at 10cm depth reaches +10-12C.Â
Soil: well drained, fertile, loamy soil rich in organic matter.
Sowing depth: 2.5cm deep;
Spacing: 2-3ft (0.6-0.9m) apart.
Light: full sun;
Watering: frequent and consistent. Water most diligently when when fruits form and throughout their growth period.
Fertilizing: zucchini is a heavy feeder, work compost and plenty of organic matter into the soil before planting for a rich soil base. Fertilize when first blooms appear, applying a small amount as a side dress application. After harvest begins, fertilize occasionally for vigorous growth and abundance of fruits.
